homework

Homework?!?  No, we're not kidding. But it's nothing like what you're thinking.  It's ten, maybe fifteen minutes to practice various things you've been learning. It takes you only a minute to knock out a set of pushups. Or one-leg squats in the doorway. One-leg calf raises on the stairs. Triceps-dips off the sofa. Do a timed sprint around the house touching your favorite trees and seeing if you shaved a few seconds off last week's time. Hold a plank for the length of a commercial break. Balancing moves on one leg. Best of all, get mom, dad, or sis to join you - winner gets to change the TV channel!

But it's not all physical; you'll need to spend some time online, reviewing the exercises and drills we're using- there are hundreds. In addition to what's on this site, there are thousands of free video-clips available to you on places like YouTube of every exercise that exists. And even more articles.

And let's not forget eating. If you want all this to matter, you'll have to spend more time focusing on putting more of the right things in your mouth, even preparing nutritious snacks to take with you. It's not about "diets" (notice that word has "die" in it?) or eating less. Most of you probably need to eat more, but of the right foods (proteins, complex carbs, fruits, veggies) and in smaller, more frequent feedings. Yes -this is a science, and it works if you'll let it.

We won't need to check to see if you did your homework - we'll see it in your training here, at practice, and in your games.
